Description
|
Four members of the elite Blast Corps face their most serious operation: two nuclear missiles have started to leak before reaching their safe detonation site. The carrier supporting them has suffered heavy damage, and in order to reach its destination as quickly as possible, it has been programmed to drive using the most direct route through cities and populated areas. As a member of the Blast Corps, you must use every vehicle at your disposal to clear a path so the carrier makes it through unscathed. The slightest impact will have catastrophic results, so you need to work fast demolishing buildings and removing any potential obstacles on each level, while trying to find six hidden scientists who can disarm the weapons. There are thirteen primary vehicles available, some of which are needed just to get to another vehicle on a stage. The Skyfall resembles a dune buggy, while the Thunderfist is a large robotic creature with an enormous hand. Other vehicles include the Cyclone Suit, a high-powered suit of armor that tumbles into structures; J-Bomb, a high-flying robot that can stomp on buildings from above; Ballista, a futuristic cycle with twin missile launchers; Sideswipe, a truck with two powerful panels on either side that can crush objects; a van (resembling the one from TV's The A-Team), police car, train, and even a platform crane. Players are free to select any of the 50+ levels from a 3D map of the world. Besides clearing a path for the carrier, there are also three medals (gold, silver and bronze) earned by finding communication points, destroying all buildings, rescuing survivors, finding RDUs, and finishing within certain times. Medals are saved directly to cartridge, but a Controller Pak with at least fourteen free pages is needed to keep additional statistics or save files. |
